I thought I would start this week's posts with some
guest bedroom inspirations. Really they can be applied
to any bedrooms. Some of them really don't take a
whole lot to create. For example, the bedroom above
has white walls. All of the color that liven the room
are purely in the accessories - colorful lamps, throw
pillows and linens and a wonderful painting that really
pulls the whole room together.

This room is very soothing with lots of texture in the linen.
It's a great idea to stock books, magazines
and water for your guests. I usually leave
1-2 bottles of water with a glass so they
don't have to get up to have some water.
This is a great use of space in a small room. There's no
rule that you can't put a bed in front of a window. This
space plan made the most sense for this room.
This room is very natural and
organic in the use of materials.
We still have the romantics to think of.
The chandelier, beautiful headboard and thick
drapes really give this room a sense of luxury.
A bedroom doesn't have to be filled with items for
it to be comfortable for someone to stay in.
Last but not least, I love how this platform bed is
made from slats instead of solid wood to give it a
more architectural sense of appeal.

The two books above are absolutely wonderful for bedroom
inspirations. As many of you know, I am an avid collector
of books and love to read and study.
If you need additional inspiration, here are a couple of past
posts I did specifically on bedrooms.
